I’m going to keep my game week review short this week as I’ve had a fairly hectic week and not an awful lot has changed for me from a Dream Team perspective. My best team continues to fly, no surprises there as I took a riskier approach with a full Newcastle block, rather than a split like I’ve done with my blog team. My blog team took a slight hit on the leaderboard, which is a shame considering the progress made by this team since the World Cup. It’s mainly down to Man Utd keeping less clean sheets, Salah not scoring, Almiron’s points drying up and the punt on Antony not paying off in the slightest. Having said that, I can’t see the point in changing much for the game week ahead as Man Utd are the only team with two fixtures and I’ve got a significant number of their players in my team. Fingers crossed for a big week for their players as that would help get the team back on track.
Player watchlist
I don’t plan on making any changes this weekend due to the FA Cup fixtures and it being a single game week for everyone other than Man Utd players (from the top clubs). I may look at who is starting for which teams, and Kane could be tempting again against Preston but I’ll see how it pans out on the day. Other than that, there’s no one on my watchlist at the moment.
Plan for game week 20
As mentioned above, my plan is to stick with the team I’ve got for game week 19 unless I think there’s an opportunity to pick up points in the FA Cup from someone like Kane.

My other teams
My best team has had a decent jump on the overall leaderboard and is now well within the top 10,000. This is pretty much down to having a Newcastle block. Unfortunately this team isn’t entered into any mini leagues. My second best team is doing OK as well and I’ve benefited from having Kane over Salah in this team. I’ve then got my blog team, other than that I’m not really keeping on top of transfers in my remaining 7 teams, I’m finding it takes too long for very little reward now they are cut off from the pack.
For full transparency, here’s my 10 teams:
Well said, always look forward to your analysis and views, Just a pity your blog team not doing as well as your top team but still long way to go. Thanks Paul
I think it was the bad start that cost me. I’d be flying if it wasn’t for that awful luck at the beginning of the season.
