Transfers: Terry Out, Williams In
With a busy week of fixtures I decided to use my first transfer of the month to replace Terry with Willams. I had to go for a relatively cheap option and as Everton captain Williams stood out as the obvious target. Terry is still recovering from injury and I can’t see him getting the game time when fit to justify keeping him in.
Positives
A clean sheet for Everton against Southampton gave me an instant point boost with Coleman and Williams. Both also played in the FA cup, had Leicester not come back into the game so quickly I could have accumulated a much bigger total. Still pleased overall with the transfer decision.
Eriksen continues to shine with a star man rating against Chelsea.
Potential Issues
Mane grabbed a goal at Sunderland however this will be his last game for a while with the African Cup of Nations approaching. He will need to be transferred out as a priority.
Tips for Game Week 20
My priority is going to be replacing Mane. With extra fixtures for Man Utd and Liverpool with EFL semi final fixtures it makes sense to make a like for like replacement. I’d like to bring in Coutinho, however I can’t imagine he will start. As a result the transfer is looking likely to be Lallana in for Mane. For anyone who already has good Liverpool representation I’d be looking at transferring a Man Utd player – possibly the high scoring Pogba or Ibrahimovic. Man Utd also have favourable fixtures for February.
