Game Week 4 Transfers & Captain Choice

Game Week 4 Transfers & Captain Choice

I’m very happy with my start to the season despite a couple of players in my team who haven’t really hit the ground running. As we are going into European fixtures next week, I’ve decided to utilise my full quota of transfers this week.

My Chelsea players let me down during game week 4 after a poor result against Forest. Given their inconsistent form and that they aren’t in Europe I’ve decided to move two of them on. Sterling is going to have to come out due to his value. I’d then prefer to lose Colwill but player positions won’t allow me to do this. I fancy bringing Alvarez in, which means Jackson has to make way. Swapping Jackson for Alvarez doesn’t leave much in the bank, so I’m going 4 at the back (likely to be just for one week) and bringing Cash in. I’m not massively convinced by him as I think his goals have skewed his points to date but I think he’s probably the best option for the funds I’ve got available.

I did consider Colwill out for Cash and Sterling out for Diaz but I’m unsure how Liverpool will set up in the Europa League. I also considered rolling the transfers over as Chelsea do have a good fixture in the league but this didn’t do me any favours in game week 4.

I very much feel like it’s one of those weeks where whatever I do could backfire. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Sterling and Jackson do some damage this week but based on their performance against Forest and their lack of extra fixtures, at this point in time, it logically makes sense to move them on while I’ve got the chance.

Other players I considered were Eze, Ferguson, Bowen, Foden and Diaby. My plan for next week is to take out Maddison and Colwill. I’m keeping Maddison as he’s due to rise, is in great form and has a good fixture.

Sterling out, Cash in

Jackson out, Alvarez in

Captain choice: Haaland

Boosters: I’m not using any but I am starting to consider when I might use them. I’m keen to ultlise the 12th man and max captain during the European knockout phase but I’m less keen on park the bus overall. I just feel like I’m going to make drastic changes to my team for the sake of that booster and I may end up worse off longer term because of it.

NOTE: I’m publishing this early as I’m not around later today. However, if anything changes between now and 11:30am tomorrow, I may adapt my plan. I’ll definitely post this in the WhatsApp group in advance but my plan above is subject to change.
