There’s not a huge amount to say about the quarter finals now that we have less players to choose from. Ultimately France and Portugal playing out a fairly boring 0-0 draw cost me with big points for people who loaded up on their defenders. I also failed to pick up a single goal despite having some of the most likely players to get on the scoresheet but that appears to be how this tournament is playing out.
Matchday 6 Team Locked In
With the first semi final tonight, I’m locking in the team below. I’ve bought in an additional French defender in case it’s another low scoring game. If it doesn’t pan out like this I’ve also got two good Spanish midfielders. I’ve swapped Bellingham for Saka as he looks more likely to get a goal and I’ve kept my faith in Kane in case the Netherlands play a more open attacking game. I did consider just doing a block defense but any four of the teams could keep a clean sheet so it’s a complete lottery.
