Top Player Picks

Schmeichel  (GK – 3m)
I’m not overly keen on Schmeichel as an option but at the same time I don’t want to spend too much on a keeper. Denmark have a good opening fixture and are ranked in the top 10 teams most likely to win the whole tournament. He’s the only keeper within these team who is valued at less than 3.5m so I’m certainly considering him.

Kristiansen (DEF – 3m)
Should start at left back or left wing back. He’s 1m cheaper than Maehle who has scored big in previous tournaments. Kristiansen doesn’t appear to have the same attacking threat but again with a good opening fixture he could be an option at only 3m.

Hojbjerg (MID – 2.5m)
A lot of people are looking for 2.5m options. Hojbjerg looks appealing when we consider other players within this bracket. He’s scored 3 goals in his past 12 games for Denmark and is almost certain to start.

Hojlund (STR – 4m)
Has a brilliant goalscoring record in his past 10 games for Denmark – he’s scored 7 goals. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to start with him ahead of Kane, Mbappe or Lukaku but he’s one to watch.

Summary

Denmark look favourites to finish second in group C. Their fixtures fall a little awkwardly as I don’t like them playing England second game. However, I wouldn’t see the harm in starting with a player or two from them. Their opening fixture against Slovenia is very appealing considering they aren’t rated to go far in the tournament at all. I could be tempted by Schmeichel, Kristiansen or Hojbjerg but I need to take a deeper look at other players before committing to anything.
