Review of Game Week 26

Review of Game Week 26

GW Points: 128
Overall Points: 3,016
Overall Rank: 84

Another game week of stalemate really. I’ve had a slight increase on the leaderboard but largely I’ve stayed in the same position for the past 5-6 game weeks. Despite it being a little boring, I’d be happy if it continued this way until the end of the season. I’d be over the moon with a top 100 finish as it would be my highest rank yet.

Here is my breakdown of each player:

Ederson – stays in until the end of the season unless he gets injured despite a fairly poor week.

Walker – not a good return again, may consider shipping him out at some point.

Bradley – good return from his first week in my team.

Van Dijk – happy with 8 points from Van Dijk

Palmer – another solid 10 points from Palmer. I did plan to take him out but he keeps scoring.

Saka – not great from Saka and he may be injured/ill. Need to monitor.

Foden – another keeper for the rest of the season.

De Bruyne – probably a keeper until the end of the season unless he gets injured

Diaz – very happy with 14 points from Diaz considering his lower ownership

Watkins – good first week in my team, stays in for a double game week next week.

Haaland – keep for the rest of the season and probably captain most weeks.

Player watchlist

Bowen – didn’t hit a massive score this week despite two fixtures but they need a result in Europe so I could be tempted to bring him in.

Gabriel – could be a good option with Arsenal having a double game week.

Salah – should be back this week but not great fixtures.

Alexander-Arnold – is currently injured but I’d want him ahead of Trippier when he returns.

Plan for game week 27

I’ve not really decided what I want to do yet. However, I could see myself moving Walker on for Gabriel – Walker hasn’t been great for me and City only have 1 fixture against Liverpool this week. The other obvious change would be to take out Palmer. I’m only really considering bringing in Bowen or Salah at this stage. Slightly favouring Bowen as West Ham have better fixtures with more on the line in Europe. However, I’ll want Salah in the long term.
