Game week 29 was a poor week in terms of points on the board but I’d imagine this was the case for most other people. My back line had a particularly bad time, picking up -5 points between them. Sterling, Hazard and Salah all blanked as well. It was also frustrating to see B. Silva get 15 point including the star man award as we were debating bringing him in before kick off. Regardless at least I’ve still got a transfer in the bag to hopefully set the team up nicely for the rest of the season.
Positives:
Mane grabbed himself another goal and star man award. This was a good result considering I’d not long bought him back into my team.
Aguero got 9 points as City recovered from going 2 goals down to Swansea.
Potential Issues:
There aren’t any real issues with the team at the moment. I’d expect Stones to be fit again shortly and as a result I don’t think there are any injury concerns in the team. The players I’d have question marks next to are: Stones, Lindelof, Rudiger and Salah. I can’t see me taking Salah out as we all know what he’s capable of and Liverpool have a decent next round fixture in the Champions League. AJF drew my attention to Coady in the comments section just before the international break and I’m seriously considering him as an option based on Wolves form and fixtures. If I took out Lindelof this would free up some good funds for upgrading someone like Rudiger but I’m still thinking through this move at the moment.
Tips for Game Week 30
Man City, Man Utd, Spurs and Chelsea all have a double game week approaching. With City and Chelsea having the easiest run of fixtures it makes sense to target their players. It’s worth noting that Liverpool and Arsenal only have a single fixtures during the game week:

Personally, I’d look at losing Willian and Jesus.
Thats the problem zero funds and zero subs so will have to look at changes next week. Thought Jesus and Aguero may well alternate given the number of fixtures City have in April. Would love to swap Willian for whom at 4m. Would essentially like some Chelsea exposure as they have some tastey fixtures but Hazard too expensive unless I get rid of Salah et al too finance which Im reluctant to do hence my tricky situation
Yes, whatever you do will have an element of risk attached. The only obvious like for like that sticks out at the moment is Willian for B.Silva.
I’d want to be moving Jesus on but other than that I’m not sure what else you can do. Possibly downgrade Rudiger for a cheap defender to free up some funds for a more expensive striker.

I have no subs left so am tied until April , but hopefully Stones can make a return and City can keep a sheet or two.
Looking ahead to April, it’s likely I will be losing Azpilicueta for VVD. I should never have opted for Azpilicueta over VVD last month, but fixtures dictated my decision instead of my gut!… always a mistake!
I’m hoping Stones will be back – I’d imagine he will be but not sure he will play two games in a week. Chelsea’s fixtures look good again for April.
Agree with this on Chelsea fixtures, I plan to hold Azpillicuita for a few weeks at least.

I’d personally be trying to get in Mane and Kane. I’d take out Aubameyang and Silva to accommodate these two but I can’t imagine that’s anywhere near possible within your budget. Are you tempted by the Coady move yourself? Would free up some funds at least.
I am tempted by the Coady (wolves have double game week + semi final to come) move but who for? I could swap for lindelof and that then allows me to swap Auba for Kane as my last 2 transfers for this month. I am keen on Mane and VVD but they only have 1 game this coming week and that’s a tough one vs spurs so those 2 might be the first 2 transfers for april as robertson misses the 1st leg vs porto so plan could be as follows;
This weekend coady & Kane in for Lindelof & Auba leaves 600k ready for April
next Friday 5th swap Robertson and Pogba for VVD & mane as Liverpool then have a double game week + favourable fixtures and Man utd will have barcelona and Man City pending. Hopefully that sets me up for what remains of season ?

My mate needs help. His team is Kepa, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Van Dijk, Robertson, Hazard, Sterling, Mane, Aguero, Salah and Rashford. He is currently on 824 points and wants to finish in the top 5 (which pays out) of our cash mini league (currently 14th and 123 points behind). Any ideas?

The only changes, I’d look to make from that team at the moment is Rashford because of Utd’s fixtures after 2 April. Maybe a straight swap for Jimenez wouldn’t be a bad shout given Wolves’ fixtures and their FA Cup game?

I thought my mate would more points than that with his team as his team looks better than any of mine. Don’t see many weaknesses in the team but yet got a mountain to climb. Good to see Rashford’s likely to feature and the rest of my team have avoided injury during the break. Could really do with a Pogba & Rashford price rise by the end of next week and Kane either remaining or dropping in price. That would let me bring in Mane and Kane for Pogba and Rashford going into April as I’m currently £0.1m off. Agonising…😬🤞

Look like good moves to me AJF as long as Coady keeps his place in the team once Bennett comes back from suspension. I would suspect he will though and Saiss will probably make way for Bennett after this weekend.
I think going into April could be a good time to offload United players as fixtures become very tricky for them. Having said that though they can give anyone a game on their day so who knows. I personally need to get Mane and Kane though as “Shields” in my ML as they could do me a lot of damage in these last few weeks by not having them. Need to protect that 76 point lead now going into the final stretch.

Thanks, Coady has played all 37 games this season and is captain so would like to think he will be a regular, he’s not a big points scorer but then again neither is lindelof and I am thinking it’s almost like for like but frees up the cash to get kane in who should match if not beat aubamayang

I think it might be time if he’s not playing today. Probably stick Coady in to free up some funds for a big upgrade on Stones or Rudiger.
